Career Paths - What our apprentices say

Hawle offers apprentices the opportunity to develop personally and professionally. Here are a few examples of how this can work:

After completing my apprenticeship, I chose a career path in strategic purchasing. I expanded my knowledge by completing the vocational diploma and the certification to become a purchasing manager. Today, my main responsibilities include developing efficient procurement strategies, analyzing purchasing costs, and managing supplier relationships. I also mentor apprentices in the strategic purchasing department, which I really enjoy.

Stefanie Wimmer

Strategic Procurement

I completed my apprenticeship as a plastics technologist from 2006 to 2009. Right from the start, I was involved in plastic manufacturing. After a few years as a machine operator, I specialized in the sampling of new parts and apprentice training. Today, I lead the plastics manufacturing department as a certified master technician and have completed further training as a foreman in plastics engineering. There’s always something new to learn in my job – that’s what makes it so exciting!

Philipp Binder-Reisinger

Teamlead - Plastic Manufacturing

In 2019, I began my apprenticeship as an electrical technician for systems and plant engineering. I got to experience many specialized areas and, after completing my apprenticeship in 2023, I decided to stay in Vöcklabruck. There, I deepened my knowledge in building technology. Today, I work in maintenance, face new challenges every day, and am proud to be part of a great team.

Anna-Lena Schuster

Maintenance Technician

In 2006, I started my apprenticeship as a production technician at Hawle. After successfully passing my final exam with distinction, I began working in mechanical processing in Frankenmarkt. But my thirst for knowledge wasn’t yet satisfied: in 2013, I passed the master craftsman exam, and in 2017, I completed the equivalent of a high school diploma (Matura). Since 2015, I’ve been a foreman in mechanical production, where I create CNC programs, set up machines, and train new colleagues. What I enjoy most is working as part of a team and having the opportunity to share my knowledge with others.

Manuel Erkner

Production – Mechanical Processing

During my training as an industrial clerk, I worked in various departments and discovered my passion for human resources. Today, I’m responsible for organizing training programs, with a special focus on the further development of our employees. I’m also in charge of the practical training for commercial apprentices and have advanced my skills by earning a diploma as a certified apprenticeship trainer.

Viktoria Schwarz

Group Human Resources

When I decided to start an apprenticeship as an IT systems technician, I had no idea how diverse, exciting, and future-oriented this career would be. From the very first day, I felt comfortable and welcomed in the company. During my apprenticeship from 2018 to 2022, I gained valuable experience in various IT areas and completed my Matura at the same time. Early on, I knew I wanted to pass on my knowledge. Today, I’m responsible for training our IT apprentices, supporting them in their development, and sharing my passion for the world of IT.
